My name is Karel Janecek, I completed PhD in Financial Mathematics at Carnegie Mellon University in 2004.

After finishing my PhD I worked as a research scientist in Financial Mathematics at the Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM), Austrian Academy of Sciences. Currently I am the Chairman of Council of Supervisors of RSJ algorithmic trading. I also teach advanced courses in financial mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University in Prague (MFF UK). I am an advisor of two PhD students of MFF UK.

I am the founder and the largest shareholder of RSJ. My main responsibilities are to develop and implement mathematical trading algorithms, and to design the strategy and vision for RSJ. I am an author of the popular blackjack software that enables professional blackjack players to perform Monte-Carlo simulations of the game in order to analyze different counting systems and optimize the playing strategy.
